Join the movement! Contribute to the most comprehensive biobank in the world and be part of innovative health research that will tackle our biggest health questions.
Researchers from around the world will be able to use the biobank to understand who develops a disease, factors that predict or lead to disease and ill health, and better ways to prevent or treat disease.
Who can sign up?
We are currently seeking people who are 18 or older and live in Colorado. If you don’t meet our current eligibility requirements, you may, in the future. You can still be part of our community by subscribing to our newsletter!
What do I have to do?
Enrollment is easy. We ask that you provide a blood sample at our Engagement Site, once a year, answer initial surveys, and others that are sent to you a few times each year. Participation only takes a few hours each year, for up to ten years.
How can I join?

How to Become a Participant

Step 2: Review and sign eConsent
The eConsent form is in your participant portal. If you have any questions before signing, please email us at questions@colostudy.org
Step 3: Schedule an in-person visit
Located at the Center for Healthy Aging at CSU. 151 Lake St.
Step 4: Attend your visit

What does participation entail?
What will I be asked to do if I participate?
We’ll ask you to provide a blood sample annually and complete health and lifestyle surveys. These surveys will give researchers insights into your lifestyle, behaviors, work, family, and other important factors that impact your health. Participation should take 2-3 hours of your time annually.
Why should I become a COLS participant?
You can make a difference for just a few hours of your time a year. Gain joy knowing that you are participating in a project that will improve health for future generations. Celebrate that you are contributing to the advancement of scientific knowledge that may help prevent or cure a disease that impacts your family.
How will you protect my information?
