Ginger Graham is the former President and Chief Executive Officer of Amylin Pharmaceuticals, a biotech company focused on diabetes and obesity. While she was CEO, the company launched two new medications for people with diabetes, was listed on the Nasdaq 100, and was rated as one of the Top 10 places in the industry for scientists to work.

Prior to her time at Amylin, Ms. Graham was Group Chairman, Office of the President, for Guidant Corporation. While in this position, the company launched the world’s leading cardiac stent platform, was listed in the Fortune 500, was recognized by Fortune Magazine as one of the Best Companies to Work For in America, and was included in Industry Week Magazine’s 100 Best Managed Companies in the World.

Ms. Graham has received numerous awards and honors including being listed in Pharma VOICE’s “100 of the Most Inspiring People,” and World Pharmaceuticals magazine named her number 10 on a list of 40 most influential people in the industry. Ms. Graham was the first female CEO named to the PhRMA Board and Executive Committee.

As a faculty member at Harvard Business School, Ms. Graham taught classes in entrepreneurship and wrote articles for Harvard Business Review, which were the subject of two Harvard case studies. She consulted as an expert to first-time CEOs in the areas of leadership, strategy, board effectiveness, and organization-building; and she continues to serve public and private companies as a board member.

After her illustrious career in pharmaceuticals, Ms. Graham is now pursuing a different passion. She is combining her love of the family kitchen, her passion about the history of Northern Colorado, and her love of pie into a restaurant she co-founded, Ginger and Baker. This restaurant/pie shop/store, in Fort Collins, Colorado, is a place meant for people to gather and share life, laughter, and pie!

Ms. Graham received a Bachelor of Science with high honors from the University of Arkansas, and holds an MBA with distinction from Harvard University. She spends a lot of time with her 10 horses and rides as often as possible. She is a former Miss Rodeo Arkansas. She also loves to garden and raises chickens and bees.
