Synergy of Minds and Talents

Scientists, health professionals, and community advocates are working together to transform health.

COLS Creators

We started the Colorado Longitudinal Study because we know that we don’t have all the information we need about health and sickness. It’s not because we lack imagination but because we don’t have the right data. This data is essential for scientists to use modern tools, like quantum computing, to learn about what makes us healthy and what makes us sick.

COLS is being built to gather enormous sets of important data that can help solve current limitations with research. Brilliant researchers, doctors, community health supporters, and philanthropists are working together to make COLS become a reality. They are all giving their time because they are passionate and believe we can make health and healthcare better.

Our Cornerstones

While the people who are building COLS come from different disciplines, different organizations, and different points of view, we are all united by a common set of values:

  • We are passionate about shaping the future of health and know this is only possible by pushing the boundaries of what we believe is possible. We aren’t satisfied with what we already know.
  • We exist to transform the collective understanding of health and won’t stop until health and healthcare are revolutionized.
  • We take a rigorous approach to every aspect of our work to ensure that what we are building will be useful in building better lives for all people.

COLS Advisors

COLS  is a unique resource that is meant to support health research currently not possible. As we create this resource, it is essential to build systems to collect and store biospecimens and personal health data in a manner that will meet the research needs of the next generation. Sample integrity and data universality is critical.

COLS is working with experts around the world on this project. We are extremely grateful for the openness and cooperation from other biobanks as well as the guidance of many experts. A core group of advisors, highlighted here, continues to provide COLS with invaluable assistance. These experts have given generously of their time and talent, and we are eternally grateful.
